At the circus workshop we made plates spin on plastic and wooden sticks. I chucked the plate up in the air and caught it. Sometimes it fell. I did all kinds of tricks with the plates. Another activity that we did was juggling, but not with balls. We used scarves. Awesome right? The hardest thing was juggling with scarves. We had to imagine we were throwing over the mountain. It was really fun. The one I loved the most was the spinning plate because I used to do circus. It was awesome fun. I loved it.

Hi I am a running shoe of course. My size is 10 in mens. I know I’m a big size. I am so hungry but I can’t eat anything because I have no mouth. All I do all day is kick balls all day every day. If I was a bird I would swoop down and get their lunch because it would taste awesome yum yum! I would like that to happen it would be awesome!!!
On the 27th of may 2015 we had a circus skill day. A man, called Clinton, from Circus Skills Australia came to our school and taught us some circus skills. After lunch 3/4M and 4H did their workshops.
First 4H started off with juggling. We started with two hankies to juggle with but as we got better we started to use 3. We put two in one hand and one in the other hand, then we threw one up in the air from the hand with two and once that is in the air you threw the other one from the hand that only had one. Then we kept on going until they fell. Clinton said this technique was called the aeroplane over the mountain… After that 4H moved on to the plate spinning we got a stick and a special plate and we put the stick under the plate until it was stable. Once we had got it stable we spun it (it was really hard). We could try to stablilise it on our palm, or finger and our chin (that was even harder). Then we figured that there were other sticks that were wooden and they had special plates to go with those particular sticks. We tried them and they were way easier. When I was using them I could balance them on my chin and my finger and also my palm… After that we tried doing human pyramids. First we started with three people. In my group of three I had Mary, Hayley and I, I was on the bottom. Then we did a six person pyramid. I was on the bottom again and I had in my group Billie,Jayda,Lily,Mary, Hayley and I. It was so much fun. Overall I had so much fun but my favourite probably would be the human pyramids... On the 26th of May the whole school went to a show where a man called Clinton, his nickname was Tintin and his work name was Mr Circus. First it was really funny because he got out a diablo and he said “Where is it from it starts with ‘ch’ and rhymes with ‘ina” “CHINA CHINA!” everyone screamed so then he picked someone from the audience and told him to throw another diablo on to the string. It was also funny because the student was almost as tall as Clinton so he said “Umm You giant child”. First it didn’t work so Mr Circus put a rainbow afro wig on him for good luck and believe it or not he did it! Next Tintin called in 4 more students and told them to balance plates on sticks but Campbell realised that the plates had grooves in them then he told them to roll over while holding the plates. But the big girl was really good so she rolled over while holding 2 PLATES IN EACH HAND But one fell off. At the end of the performance Mr Circus told Mr Rutter and Miss Clarke to come up, and then he made them do some silly stuff, but then told them that he made them do that just for fun. Next Clinton told us he was going to juggle while on a unicycle, but it was a tall one and he was nervous because he usually has a bigger space. He told Mr Rutter and Miss Clarke to hold the unicycle as he climbed up it. When Tintin started unicycle-ing he juggled for about 10 seconds then he told Mr Rutter to face the wall, so you know what happens next. He climbed down Mr Rutter! THE NEXT DAY.... Mr Circus is teaching 3/4M and 4H Circus tricks first 4H juggles while 3/4M balances plates but Clinton told us the plates with holes were for wooden sticks. First Tintin told to juggle with one tissue-like thing (so I will just call them tissues), then two. Next he taught us a trick for 3, you have to roll the 3 tissues up into a ball, then put one in your right hand then one between the 2 fingers next to your thumb on your left hand, and the last one goes in your left hand (if you are right handed). But next you have to pretend you are an airport, your head is the control tower, your arms are runways and the tissues are planes. Now this airport has two problems 1 is: There is a big mountain between the runways so one has to fly over. 2 is: The plane cannot fly over because there is already a plane there. So the control tower’s job is to tell the planes when to fly over. Next it was our turn to do the plates and I balanced a plate on my palm. Later we had to get in groups of 3 and make a human pyramid. If it is 3 just kneel down, but if it is more you have to climb with your knees. When I did 3 I did this really funny muscle man pose, and when I did 6 it hurt.
